Al-Anon

Al-Anon is in existence for almost 55 years as a community resource. It is a separate fellowship from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), however the Al-Anon recovery programme is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions adapted from AA.  Like AA, Al-Anon is an Anonymous Fellowship.  Al-Anon Family Groups have only one requirement for membership: that you be affected by someone else’s drinking.

National Responsible Gambling Programme

The NRGP reports to the SA Responsible Gambling Trust (SARGT), a public/private sector partnership accountable to the SA Advisory Council on Responsible Gambling (SAACREG). SAACREG was created by the National Gambling Board in 2001 as a national forum and policy advisory body, and comprises representatives of industry, government and civil society.

Harm Reduction Coalition  - U.S.A.

The Harm Reduction Coalition is a national advocacy and capacity-building organization in the U.S.A that promotes the health and dignity of individuals and communities impacted by drug use. One of their initiatives is a syringe exchange programme which is needed in South Africa.
